On Tuesday, Bapatla Women’s Engineering College grandly celebrated NCC (National Cadet Corps) Day.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the President of Bapatla Education Society, Muppalaneni Srinivasa Rao, as the chief guest.
The ceremony began with the NCC cadets presenting a guard of honor to Muppalaneni Srinivasa Rao in honor of NCC Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Muppalaneni Srinivasa Rao emphasized, “Joining the NCC instills immense courage, strength, and discipline in women. It equips them to face any situation with confidence. Discipline is essential in life, and NCC is synonymous with discipline. Joining the NCC is one of the best decisions one can make. More students should be encouraged to join, and Bapatla Education Society will extend its full support to such initiatives.”
College Principal Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao stated that the NCC plays a crucial role in career development, fostering leadership and discipline. He later planted saplings on the campus as a gesture toward environmental conservation.
The event also featured cultural activities by the NCC cadets, including dances and traditional stick performances.
The program was attended by Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, Vice Principal I. Haritha, NCC Caretaker P. Nava Bhanu, and faculty members Venkateswari, Maha Lakshmi, Suvarna Kumari, along with numerous NCC cadets.
