Bapatla Women’s Engineering College (BWEC) has been honoured with the prestigious “Platinum Sustainable Campus Partner” recognition for its outstanding contribution towards environmental conservation and sustainable campus development under the “Earth Week – Bharat Environment Program 2026.” The initiative was organized in collaboration with Research Heights Foundation, Hyderabad, as part of the “A Bharat Sustainable Campus Mission – 2026.”

The program was conducted with the objective of promoting environmental awareness, encouraging sustainable development practices, and inspiring students to actively participate in protecting the environment. As part of the initiative, the college organized a series of activities focusing on Green Campus Action, Sustainability Awareness, Green Campus Audit, Community Outreach, Zero Plastic Drive, Waste Management, Sustainability Pledge, and Innovative Environmental Practices.

Students, faculty members, and staff enthusiastically participated in various eco-friendly activities, including tree plantation drives, plastic reduction campaigns, waste management initiatives, energy conservation practices, and maintaining a clean and green campus. These activities reflected the institution’s commitment to building an environmentally responsible academic community.

Speaking on the occasion, the college representatives encouraged everyone to become active contributors to environmental protection under the inspiring slogan, “Nurturing a Greener Future, Together.” They emphasized that sustainability is a shared responsibility and an essential part of creating a better future for society.

Announcing the achievement, Dr. Ch. Hima Bindu, Principal of Bapatla Women’s Engineering College, stated that the institution was awarded the “Platinum Sustainable Campus Partner” recognition by Research Heights Foundation in appreciation of its remarkable efforts toward environmental conservation and sustainable development. She highlighted that the college has consistently implemented initiatives such as green campus development, plastic-free campus practices, scientific waste management, tree plantation, energy conservation, and sustainability awareness programs, which have contributed significantly to earning this prestigious recognition.

The college management expressed their happiness over this remarkable achievement and congratulated the students, faculty members, and staff for their active participation and dedication.
