Bapatla Women’s Engineering College celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm through a three-day series of events organized by the NSS and NCC Units. The celebrations were conducted with the objective of promoting awareness about yoga and encouraging students to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The celebrations commenced on 18th June with a Technical Quiz Competition on the theme of International Yoga Day. Students actively participated and showcased their knowledge of the history, significance, and scientific benefits of yoga.

On 19th June, the college organized a Yoga Awareness Rally to spread the message of health and wellness among the public. Students carried placards displaying inspiring yoga messages and created awareness about the importance of yoga in daily life. As part of the campaign, specially designed pamphlets highlighting the physical and mental health benefits of yoga were distributed to the public.

The celebrations concluded on 20th June with a Yoga Practice Session, featuring various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation exercises. Yoga experts explained how regular yoga practice enhances physical fitness, improves mental well-being, reduces stress, and increases concentration. Participants were encouraged to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine for a healthier and happier life.

The event was graced by Dr. C. Hima Bindu, Principal of the college, Mrs. I. Haritha, Vice Principal, Dr. K. Krishnakumari and Mrs. G. Kalyani, NSS Programme Officers, Ms. P. Navabhanu, NCC Officer, along with NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, faculty members, and a large number of students.

The college management appreciated the dedicated efforts of the NSS and NCC teams, faculty coordinators, and student volunteers for successfully organizing the three-day International Yoga Day celebrations and making the event a grand success.
