An awareness program on the Shakti App, cyber crime, and drug abuse prevention was successfully conducted on Saturday at Bapatla Women’s Engineering College.
The Town Women Sub-Inspector, S.K. Nasreen, attended the event as the chief guest and provided valuable guidance to the students. She explained in detail the usage of the Shakti App, its importance during emergencies, ways to stay safe from cyber crimes, and precautions to avoid online frauds.



She also created awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, including its impact on health, society, and legal consequences. She advised the youth to stay away from addictive substances and adopt a safe and healthy lifestyle.
The program was organized under the leadership of Principal Dr. Chinni Himabindu, Vice Principal Mrs. I. Haritha, and NSS officers Dr. K. Krishna Kumari and Mrs. G. Kalyani. Students actively participated in the session, downloaded the Shakti App, and gained practical knowledge about its usage.
The organizers stated that the program was highly beneficial in enhancing students’ awareness about safety, cyber precautions, and leading a healthy lifestyle.
